Teaching Piano, With Love
I feel strongly about accepting students with which I have a natural connection. I have been blessed with many, many, students in my 25 years of piano teaching, however,I must say my most successful students began with the parents, children, and I feeling an easy alignment of communication style and mutual understanding and goals. Joyful dialogue and developmental musical education woven with love and care is such a delight; the product of a harmonious relationship between teacher, student and parent.

There are numerous piano teachers in this area, and it is smart to interview a prospective teacher and explore compatibility. A good match is usually obvious, and a not-so-good match is as well. I pride myself in an open-studio where visitors are not only welcome, but encouraged. Many a student has been inspired from watching and listening to a peer. In addition, parents are able to glimpse what my teaching style is all about and absorb some real-life experience in the Suzuki Method at work.

I feel I have a been blessed with an enthusiastic gift of communicating through music. My genuine love of teaching and relating to young people through my music has been extremely rewarding to me so far; bringing me much success along my career path. I feel a genuine delight in children and their ability to learn.

At your initial consulation I will be evaluating whether I believe your child and I connect; assertaining whether or not there is a strong inclination for compatability and success. This is an important time for the family as well to meet and explore the atmosphere of my studio and my teaching style.
In all lessons for children under the age of 10, regular participation in the lessons and at home is crucial.

The heartwarming feeling I feel when I see the spark in a child's eye as the magical musical enlightenment occurs is sensational!! Giving the gift of music is the gift that lasts a lifetime!
